Fortigo CEO Named 2023 Women in Supply Chain Award Winner
AUSTIN, Texas, USA (Oct. 4, 2023) — Fortigo, Inc., transportation management, freight audit, and supply chain solution expert announces CEO Niloufar Lamei among the winners of the 2023 Women in Supply Chain Award presented by Supply & Demand Chain Executive and Food Logistics.
This award honors female supply chain leaders and professionals whose accomplishments, mentorship and examples set a foundation for women in all levels of a company's supply chain network.
"This year, we received over 400 submissions, the highest number of applications not only for this award, but also for all of our awards. What's more, 118 of those applications were submitted by male counterparts, nominating their boss, co-worker or associate. Women have been making a significant impact in supply chain management, contributing to the growth and innovation of the supply chain industry. From truck drivers to CEOs, what these winners are doing matters to the future of all supply chains," said Marina Mayer, Editor-in-Chief of Food Logistics and Supply & Demand Chain Executive.
Lamei joined Fortigo in 2010 after spending over 15 years in various roles within the technology space. Under her leadership, Fortigo has excelled in areas of technology innovation, process improvement and enhanced supply chain management and visibility. As a result, Fortigo is the only Multimodal Transportation Management System (TMS) provider that is a Freight Bill Audit and Pay (FBAP) provider by FedEx for both Parcel and Freight (LTL). Throughout her tenure, Lamei has placed a large focus on increasing diverse participation in the logistics space.
"Innovation starts when you connect people from different experiences and backgrounds. This award represents the incredible diversity and strength of women in logistics," Lamei said. "I am proud to work alongside strong, industry-pioneering women at Fortigo and within the greater supply chain community."
Fortigo's Transportation Management System (TMS) and Freight Audit solutions are powered by a best-in-class global team. While women typically make up just over 35% of a supply chain company's workforce, Fortigo is proud to have a majority female team with women leaders and innovators across all verticals of the business. "While there's still more work to be done, what we're doing is working. From truck drivers to CEOs, what these winners are doing matters to the future of all supply chains," Mayer said.
